The Service operates primarily within the Google Apps Script environment, meaning processing happens entirely within your active Google account.

  • Document Content Access: When you explicitly run the Service (e.g., by clicking the “Demote Heading” button), the Service accesses the content and structure of the active document only. This access is strictly limited to the document you are currently viewing and is necessary to perform the requested function (e.g., reading heading levels and modifying the document structure).
  • Purpose of Processing: This data is processed only to ensure the software works correctly and delivers the formatting utility you requested.
  • No External Storage: We do not transmit, copy, or store any part of your document content, email address, name, or other personally identifiable information on our servers or third-party databases.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect the following types of information:

  • User email addresses or names.
  • Usage statistics beyond the basic, anonymized metrics provided by Google’s platform (which we do not link to any individual user).
  • Data for advertising, marketing, or selling purposes.

4. Third-Party Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your document content or any related data with third parties, advertisers, or other companies.

5. Security of Your Data

We rely on the security provided by the Google Workspace platform to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your data while the Service is processing it. Because we do not store any user data, the risk of external data breach related to this Service is minimized.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
